Many people have probably seen this painting before, but I still think it is amazing. The painting is titled 'Heath' and it is a tribute to the great actor that Heath Ledger was. The artist, Vincent Fantauzzo, was a friend of Heath's and created this masterpiece not too long before Heath's passing.
By painting these three different versions of Heath, Fantauzzo captures the alternate sides of Heath's nature. Vincent says, “The whispering, the voices, the frustration or something comical – they [represent] different ways that we might be thinking in our own mind.” It seems like he tried to capture the 'reality' of celebrities. Sometimes the public thinks of celebrities as a different species and wonders how their brains function. Vincent (to me) was simply trying to represent a human, which is what celebrities are.
